Son of firefighter killed on September 11 retraces father's route 25 years after the attacks

Stephen Siller, son of the firefighter who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks, retraced this Friday the route his father took that fateful day to the Twin Towers. Stephen crossed the Brooklyn Tunnel carrying a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center rubble, honoring his father's memory 25 years after the tragedy.

The ceremony was attended by family members of other firefighters killed in the attacks. Together, they marked the 25th anniversary of the destruction of the towers in New York, in a moment of tribute and remembrance of the victims of that day.

Stephen Siller was still a child when his father, also a firefighter, lost his life during the rescue operations following the terrorist attacks. This commemoration represents for the family a way of keeping alive the memory of those who perished that day.
