Starting in October, Niterói will have its own base of Disque Denúncia, with a team dedicated to receiving, sorting, and following up on information sent by the population. The idea is to bring the channel closer to local demands and expand the use of reports as a tool to identify problems and guide the actions of security forces.
Data obtained by the City Hall of Niterói from Disque Denúncia shows that between August 2024 and August 2026, 9,019 reports were registered about events that occurred in the city. In the first 12-month period, between August 16, 2024 and August 15, 2025, there were 3,813 records. In the following 12 months, the number rose to 5,205, representing an increase of 36.5%.
The new base will be installed in the municipality through an agreement maintained by the City Hall of Niterói with Disque Denúncia, with participation from the Municipal Integrated Management Office. The objective is to strengthen the service to local demands and expand the capacity to respond to reports from the population.
