The Procuradoria-Geral da República asked the Supreme Federal Court for full removal of secrecy from the proceedings involving investigations into Banco Master. The request was sent to the Court's president, Minister Edson Fachin. The case rapporteur, Minister André Mendonça, had already released part of the documents, but kept other pieces under restriction.
Minister Alexandre de Moraes had also previously contacted Fachin to request complete disclosure of the material and question Mendonça's decision. According to Moraes, the cases are interconnected and partial disclosure of the documents harms the analysis of evidence.
Moraes stated that Mendonça kept 180 documents related to the Banco Master investigations under secrecy. According to the minister, maintaining secrecy could harm the session scheduled for next week.
In the mentioned session, the STF will analyze the case and decide whether or not to open an investigation against Minister Alexandre de Moraes himself.
