A Buddhist leader was arrested on suspicion of embezzling 2.4 million euros. The monk was captured on surveillance camera footage while having sexual relations with a woman, who was also arrested as part of the same investigation.

Both suspects were detained following an operation related to the alleged embezzlement of funds. The investigation involved the analysis of surveillance evidence that documented the religious leader's behavior.

As part of this investigation, authorities seized assets worth a total of 5.6 million euros. The confiscated assets significantly exceed the allegedly embezzled amount, indicating the scale of the activities under suspicion.
