The Judicial Police, through the Criminal Investigation Department of the Azores, arrested a 58-year-old man for being strongly indicated of the practice of a crime of attempted homicide. The arrest occurred within the scope of an investigation related to facts that occurred on September 7th.
The crimes are said to have been committed during the morning, inside a vehicle, in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores. The victim is the defendant's nephew, thus establishing the family link between aggressor and victim.
The man was brought before court, where coercive measures were applied to him. The authorities did not reveal more details about the circumstances of the crime or the victim's state of health, with the case remaining under investigation.
