A 15-year-old youth was rescued alive after nearly three days adrift in the Bering Sea, off the coast of Alaska. The teenager was found clinging to an overturned vessel in the frigid waters of the region.
The sinking of the small boat resulted in the death of the teenager's brother and cousin, who did not survive. The exact circumstances of the accident have not yet been fully clarified.
Local authorities were able to locate the youth following an intense search operation in the area. The freezing temperatures of the Bering Sea represent an extreme challenge for anyone who remains immersed or near the water for extended periods.
The rescue of the teenager took place during this week, as reported by Alaska authorities.
