The President of the Municipality of Guimarães, Ricardo Araújo, received this Thursday, at the Town Hall, the Ambassador of Argentina in Portugal, Federico Barttfeld, in a meeting that allowed reinforcing the willingness to bring Guimarães closer to Argentina and identifying new areas of cooperation.
The possibility of resuming the twinning process between Guimarães and Tucumán, initiated in 2023, was among the topics addressed, with the aim of deepening this relationship and creating concrete opportunities for exchange and collaboration.
The meeting also allowed expanding this perspective to other Argentine cities and to different areas of interest for Guimarães, namely technology and innovation, research, higher education, industry, business relations, culture and tourism.
Within this scope, opportunities for rapprochement between knowledge institutions and companies were identified, including in the field of aerospace technologies and Earth observation.
