The Municipality of Lagos opened applications for municipal scholarships for higher and vocational education students, for the 2026/2027 academic year. The deadline for submitting applications is September 30 and covers both students who have already formalised their enrollment and those who expect to do so in the 2nd or 3rd admission phases, which this year are taking place later due to a decision by the Ministry of Education. In cases where enrollment has not yet been formalised, the granting of the scholarship is subject to the later submission of proof.
Students from households with reference annual income classified within the 1st to 4th brackets of family allowance are eligible to apply. The scholarship amount corresponds to 60% of the Social Support Index (IAS) for students belonging to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd brackets, and 30% of the IAS for those in the 4th bracket. Students displaced more than 50 kilometres away are also awarded a top-up of 25 euros.
Applications must be submitted through the "Scholarship Platform", available on the municipality's portal, in the "Areas of Action – Education – Scholarships" section. The granting of support is subject to compliance with the eligibility criteria established in the current Municipal Regulation. The Municipal Council calls on interested parties to submit their application within the established deadline.
