Ana Margarida Clérigo, the young local politician with the mission to serve the Parish of Matriz in Borba

Rádio Campanário11 September 2026 at 16:44

Ana Margarida Clérigo is the president of the Parish Council of Matriz in Borba, and was a guest on the "Manhãs da Ana – Hora do Café" program on Rádio Campanário last Thursday, where she spoke about her personal, professional, and political journey, as well as about her connection to the land where she was born and raised.

Since childhood, Ana Margarida dreamed of being a ballet dancer, but ended up pursuing the field of Law, a choice related to the strong sense of justice that has always accompanied her and the desire to intervene and actively participate in society.

After completing her education, she returned to Borba in 2022 to practice the profession. It was during this return to her hometown that she realized she wanted to go further in her contribution to the community, putting her knowledge and dedication at the service of the development of the municipality and, in particular, of the parish of Matriz.

The desire to contribute to her land took on a new dimension in 2025, when Ana Margarida Clérigo was elected president of the Parish Council of Matriz. Since then, she has embraced the position with a true sense of mission, assuming the responsibility of working in close proximity to the population and contributing to the development of the parish.
