Electric cable causes motorcyclist to fall and suffer injuries

An electric cable fell near the Convento da Serra, in the municipality of Almeirim, last Friday, September 11, causing a motorcyclist to fall. The man was traveling on National Road 114, heading from Almeirim to Coruche, when he ran over the loose cable on the road, eventually losing control.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries and required hospital treatment. An ambulance was sent to the scene to provide assistance to the injured man.

The incident occurred near the Convento da Serra, an area in the municipality of Almeirim, Santarém district. Authorities are investigating the causes of the electric cable fall that led to the accident.
