Senator and presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) defended on Friday the decision by Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), who authorized the opening of an investigation against him due to suspicions related to the financing of the film "Dark Horse," about former President Jair Bolsonaro.
Flavio stated that the minister "is right" in allowing the investigation and requested the removal of secrecy from the case, during an agenda in Manaus. He declared that he would like "everyone in the Supreme Court to be like André Mendonça," emphasizing that the minister "did not lean to either side" in allowing the investigation.
The candidate also made a direct appeal to Mendonça to make the elements of the investigation public, requesting that he "remove the secrecy, remove secrecy from everything, show everything to the people." According to him, transparency would be beneficial so that the population could verify who is right in the case.
