A 42-year-old man was placed in preventive detention after being arrested by the PSP in Vila Franca de Xira. The individual is suspected of having committed two robberies using a razor as a weapon of threat.
The crimes allegedly occurred in the area of Vila Franca de Xira, where the man allegedly approached and robbed victims under threat of the razor. One of the victims was also allegedly beaten and knocked to the ground during the assault.
The assault resulted in an injury to one of the victim's hands, in addition to the physical trauma of the fall. The man was arrested on September 4 by the police authorities.
After being brought before the court, the suspect was subject to preventive detention as a precautionary measure. The case continues to be investigated by the PSP of Vila Franca de Xira.
