Six gymnasts from the Azores, namely Tiago Pinheiro, Rui Cansado, Matilde Cymbron, Manuel Resendes, Henrique Soares and Júlia Alves, are part of the Portuguese team that will compete at the World Aerobic Gymnastics Championship. All athletes are members of the Gymnastics Activities Club of Ponta Delgada.
The gymnasts are currently in Pamplona, Spain, where the world-class competition is taking place. They thus represent the Portuguese national team at this prestigious international sporting event.
The Gymnastics Activities Club of Ponta Delgada is the entity responsible for training these six athletes who will defend the colors of Portugal at this aerobic gymnastics competition.
