Businessman Chander Agarwal, executive director of a logistics company in Singapore, tried to recover through the courts the amount of 468,000 Singapore dollars (approximately R$ 1.8 million) that he spent on gifts and expenses during his relationship with ex-girlfriend Felicia Lee. Singapore's Supreme Court dismissed the request, concluding that the amounts were given voluntarily and could not be claimed as loans.
Agarwal and Lee met during a flight in 2019, when she worked as a flight attendant. The relationship began in September 2022 and ended in December 2023. The breakup occurred after Agarwal began suspecting that Lee was maintaining another relationship.
