The Guimarães City Council hosted the 8th edition of the National Urban Cleaning Meeting (ENLU), an initiative of the Urban Cleaning Association (ALU), held in partnership with the municipality and integrated into the programming of Guimarães 26 – European Green Capital. The event took place over three days at MitPenha.
The meeting brought together local authorities, municipal technicians, companies, and specialists to discuss the main challenges of urban cleaning, public space management, and territorial sustainability, constituting a moment of knowledge sharing and reflection on the future of cities.
In the round table "[De]Constructing the Future," the President of the Guimarães City Council, Ricardo Araújo, placed quality of life at the center of the municipality's environmental strategy. The mayor argued that the evolution of public services must be accompanied by greater individual awareness and responsibility.
