The JPP party submitted a request for the creation of a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee (CPI) aimed at hearing Luís Neves. The request was presented by the party's sole deputy, Filipe Sousa.
The CPI's main focus is on the contracts signed between the PJ (Judicial Police) and the company Construbarcelos. The request sets a 180-day deadline for the committee's work.
In addition to Luís Neves, the document proposes the hearing of Government members who participated in the processes of appointment and reappointment of Neves to public positions. The party thus intends to clarify the circumstances surrounding these appointments.
The request submitted by Filipe Sousa marks the party's first formal initiative to investigate alleged irregularities in the contracts between the PJ and Construbarcelos, as well as in the appointments of Luís Neves.
