The Church of São Vicente de Sousa, in Felgueiras, is undergoing a conservation and enhancement intervention valued at approximately 137 thousand euros, of which more than 102 thousand euros are funded by European funds through the NORTE 2030 programme. The work is part of the "Northern Routes: Conservation and Safeguarding of the Route of Romanesque Heritage" operation, with a total investment of 2.5 million euros supported by ERDF. The visit was carried out by officials from CCDR NORTE, Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal and local authorities, who highlighted the importance of heritage preservation for regional identity, tourism attractiveness and economic development. The project aims not only to conserve the monuments but also to increase their visibility and attraction capacity, transforming them into a regional network with greater impact on the territories.
