The Minister of Education admitted that there is a shortage of teachers in schools in the Greater Lisbon area and in Setúbal. The situation remains concerning in these regions, which face significant difficulties in filling teaching positions.
Throughout the country, approximately two thousand teaching positions remain unfilled. This number reflects the magnitude of the problem affecting the Portuguese education sector.
The Ministry of Education acknowledges the difficulties in hiring teachers and is working to find solutions that will help address these gaps in the most affected schools.
