The archaeological works taking place in Muge, in the municipality of Salvaterra de Magos, will be open to the public on Sunday, September 13, through a guided visit to the Shell Mound of Cabeço da Amoreira. Participation in this visit is free.
Throughout the morning, participants will have the opportunity to closely learn how an archaeological excavation campaign unfolds. The visit will also provide insight into the methods used by archaeologists during field work.
The Shell Mound of Cabeço da Amoreira is an archaeological site located in the Muge region, known for its historical importance and the archaeological heritage it holds. This opening to the public aims to bring the community closer to the investigations being carried out at the site.
