The Association Espinho Viva is preparing the construction of the traditional festive carpets that decorate the main streets of the city of Espinho on the occasion of the festival in honour of Our Lady of Help. The organization is already preparing all the procedures and painting the 22 tonnes of salt that were acquired for the event.
Around 350 volunteers will build the carpets throughout the afternoon of September 19th. This is a traditional moment of tribute to the city's patron saint, which attracts the participation of the local community.
The theme chosen for this year's carpets is the family, which will serve as inspiration for the drawings and compositions that will decorate the streets during the festival. The Association Espinho Viva is the entity responsible for organizing the entire event.
