The plastic artist Mutes, native of Arcos de Valdevez, participates for the eighth consecutive year in the international artistic movement MAINTENANT, which is based in New York. This continuous presence consolidates his career beyond borders and places his hometown in the world cultural panorama.
This prestigious global collective focuses on contemporary Dadaism and annually brings together creators from all over the world around a shared theme. Mutes has been collaborating with the project since 2018, the year when his creations began to be integrated into a renowned international publication distributed to a highly specialized audience.
The Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez considers that the consistency of this participation validates the merit and solidity of the artist's work, highlighting the municipality on one of the most relevant artistic stages today and enhancing contemporary Portuguese art in circuits of high prestige.
