APSAT – Association of Health Professionals of Alto Tâmega delivered to the Bastonary of the Order of Nurses, Luís Filipe Barreira, a copy of the book "When the (Un)expected Happens", a work that documents the memories and experiences of the III Urgency and Emergency Congress of Alto Tâmega and Barroso. The delivery was made by Nurse Carla Barroso, a member of the APSAT board, who personally handed the book to the bastonary, who agreed to write the foreword of the publication.
The book comes with the objective of transforming into memory, knowledge and learning the experiences lived by health professionals who deal daily with unexpected situations in urgency and emergency. Throughout its pages, the work brings together memories, testimonies and scientific knowledge, giving expression to the profoundly human dimension of those who work in this area.
The official presentation of the work is scheduled for Monday, September 14, at 6:00 PM, at the Municipal Library of Chaves. The session aims to bring together health professionals and guests around a publication that aims to affirm the Alto Tâmega region as a space for the production of knowledge, reflection and science.
The article highlights that, in a country where major scientific and professional events are mostly concentrated in large urban centers, this publication demonstrates that science is also done from the interior and knowledge with dimension and national relevance is shared.
