INEM strike called off after agreement at Ministry of Health

The strike by INEM pre-hospital emergency technicians, which was scheduled for September 14 and 28, was called off after an agreement reached at the Ministry of Health. The stoppage, which would have compromised emergency resources, ultimately did not take place thanks to the understanding between the parties.

The Union of Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians, the Ministry of Health, and the National Institute of Medical Emergencies reached an agreement on the reorganization of emergency resources. The negotiations made it possible to find a solution to the issues that were at the origin of the labor dispute.

Pre-hospital emergency technicians are responsible for the operation of ambulances and emergency resources throughout the country. The scheduling of the strike had raised concerns about the impact on emergency medical services during the days of the stoppage.
