"Go to hell", says Trump about those who won't vote in the elections

Now11 September 2026 at 14:07

Donald Trump spoke out against citizens who do not participate in the elections, telling them to "go to hell". The statements arose in the context of the campaign for the midterm elections in the United States.

The midterm elections are scheduled for November 3rd. In these elections, the entire House of Representatives and a third of the Senate will be renewed.

The conservatives, who currently hold the majority in the Upper House, face a significant challenge. The Democrats are aiming to capitalize on Trump's unpopularity among voters to recover ground in Congress.

Iran and Gulf countries meet on Monday to negotiate transit through the Strait of Hormuz

The Foreign Ministers of the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will meet on Monday in Salalah, Oman, with their Iranian counterpart to negotiate a temporary agreement on maritime circulation in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's main oil and gas transportation routes. The meeting, promoted by Oman and Iran, aims to create a provisional mechanism to manage ship transit, including the creation of a joint maritime corridor and the removal of mines. The Gulf countries intend to ensure that any agreement is temporary and allows the passage of commercial ships, while Iran seeks regional support to ease pressure from the United States. This is the first meeting of this kind since the beginning of the conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel in February, although diplomats warn that an exclusively regional agreement may not be sufficient to normalize navigation in the long term.
