New professional training facilities inaugurated with investment of over three million euros

The Employment and Professional Training Center of Bragança inaugurated new training facilities dedicated to the areas of Geriatrics, Aesthetics, Well-being and Hairdressing. The infrastructure represents an investment of over three million euros, aimed at strengthening the training offer in the region.

The new facilities will enable trainees to acquire practical skills in areas with growing demand in the labor market. The available courses aim to meet the needs of the personal services sector and care for the elderly population.

The Employment and Professional Training Center of Bragança is an entity under the Employment and Professional Training Institute, the body responsible for professional training policy in Portugal. The expansion of the facilities aims to contribute to the professional qualification and labor market integration of citizens in the Trás-os-Montes region.

Fuel retailers accuse Government of "lying" to the Portuguese and demand more enforcement

The president of ANAREC, João Durão, accused the Portuguese Government of "lying to the Portuguese" and profiting from fuels, demanding greater enforcement to stop cross-border smuggling between Portugal and Spain. In Lanhelas, Caminha, Durão warned that national companies are losing competitiveness due to the high tax burden, noting that in one euro of diesel 60 cents are taxes, a situation that does not occur in Spain. He argued that Portugal should apply taxation close to that of Spain and considered that the ISP compensation mechanism through VAT is not transparent. The price difference in fuels between the two sides of the border, separated by only six kilometres through the Bridge of Friendship, ranges between 30 and 40 cents.
