During 25 days of electoral campaigning, the agenda of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) became dominated by tribute projects, medal recognitions, and public utility declarations, while proposals considered strategic for the economy and state accounts remained without a scheduled vote.
In just two days, deputies approved 19 projects in sessions lasting between 20 and 30 minutes, characterized by few lawmakers present. On Thursday, one of the main items was the granting of the Tiradentes Medal to former Flamengo player Dejan Petković, in a bill authored by deputy Yuri Moura from PSOL.
On the same day, the House recognized the relevance of beach tennis in the state and declared the Associação Movimento das Artes of public utility. On Wednesday, the agenda was concluded without major movements, evidencing the reduction in legislative activity during the electoral period.
