The number of buildings licensed in Portugal in the second quarter decreased 7.1% compared to the same period last year, totaling 6,162 buildings, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE).
The INE revealed that between April and June, 6.2 thousand buildings were licensed in Portugal, representing a year-on-year decline of 7.1%. This reduction was, however, less pronounced than in the previous quarter, which had recorded a fall of 9.7%.
The National Statistics Institute analyzed the data on licensed and completed construction works during this period, identifying this contraction trend in the country's construction sector.
