The managers of Soluciones de Gestión tried to distance themselves from influence peddling accusations in the so-called Koldo case before judge Ismael Moreno at the National Court. The company obtained multi-million contracts for selling masks to the Ministry of Transport during the tenure of former minister José Luis Ábalos.
Businessman Victor de Aldama, one of the main defendants in the investigation, offered these mask business deals directly on the street and at the doors of the Ministry of Transport, according to case sources.
This trial comes as a branch of the main case already tried and convicted by the Supreme Court, where both former minister Ábalos and his advisor Koldo García were convicted for the same practices related to emergency contracts during the pandemic.
Case sources indicate this could be one of the last proceedings carried out within this investigation, and that this branch of the Koldo case could soon be ready for trial.
