The Regional Government invests 247,100 euros in this year's edition of Festival Colombo, which takes place on the island of Porto Santo between September 17 and 20. The value represents an increase of more than 43 thousand euros compared to the previous edition, which demonstrates the region's commitment to this event.
Among the new features this year, the inclusion of a circus show stands out, in addition to the enhancement of the overall event activities. These changes aim to make the festival more attractive to visitors and residents.
The announcement was made by the regional secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, who emphasized the importance of the festival for the promotion of the island of Porto Santo.
Regarding hotel occupancy on the Golden Island, as Porto Santo is known, a similar value to last year is estimated, suggesting that the event maintains its capacity to attract visitors to the region.
