The parliamentary group of Iniciativa Liberal (IL) invited independents close to the party and Ricardo Arroja, consultant of António José Seguro, to participate in its parliamentary sessions. This decision comes at a time when the party intends to debate the "urgent reforms the country needs".
The independents joining the parliamentary group of IL in these sessions are Mário Amorim Lopes, Carlos Guimarães Pinto and Mariana Leitão. They are joined by Pedro Brinca and Luís Aguiar-Conraria.
Ricardo Arroja, who is a consultant to former PS leader António José Seguro, is one of the prominent figures among the guests. His presence at these IL parliamentary sessions has particular relevance given his political past and connections to the Socialist Party.
The parliamentary sessions of Iniciativa Liberal aim to promote in-depth debate on the main structural reforms the party considers necessary for the country, counting on external contributions from independents and specialists from different areas.
