The European Union approved 6.1 billion euros in financing for Ukraine's air defense. This decision was made this Friday, representing a significant reinforcement of European support to the country.
This financing aims to support Ukraine's capacity to resist continuous Russian ballistic missile and drone attacks. Defense against these threats has been a priority for Ukrainian authorities.
With the approval of these 6.1 billion euros, the allocation of the full 28.3 billion euros planned for Ukraine's defense support during the year 2026 is ensured. This amount represents a substantial commitment from the EU to the country's security.
