The Israel Defense Forces announced having carried out a "precision strike" that resulted in the death of three Hamas members in the Gaza Strip. Among those killed is Muhamad Yazuri, identified as the commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade of Hamas's military wing. The attack was presented by Israeli authorities as a targeted operation against the Palestinian group's military leadership.
In addition to Yazuri, the strike also killed Hudaifa Mamar, described as a "company commander," and Muhamad Bahjat Rachi, identified as "another terrorist from Hamas's military wing." The Israeli forces did not specify the exact date on which the attack occurred.
The operation is part of Israel's military response in the Gaza Strip, which began after Hamas's attacks on October 7, 2023. Israel has been carrying out selective strikes against Hamas military targets, seeking to hit its command structure in the region.
