Madeira Wood Exports Hit Record in 2025 and Trade Surplus Rises to 157.3 Million Euros

SAPO Notícias11 September 2026 at 11:29

Madeira's exports reached a record in 2025, contributing to a positive Trade Balance of goods surplus. Export growth was more than double the pace of imports, demonstrating significant performance by the region.

Madeira's trade surplus reached 157.3 million euros, representing a significant increase compared to the previous year. This value represents an additional 91 million euros compared to the amount recorded in 2024.

In 2024, the region's trade surplus had been set at 66.3 million euros, so the growth recorded in 2025 represents a substantial evolution in Madeira's trade balance.
