Now11 September 2026 at 11:26

The rise in fuel prices is taking purchasing power away from national exports. This phenomenon represents the first quarter, since 2022, in which this occurs, constituting significant pressure on the country's trade deficit. The situation reflects the impact that energy costs have on the competitiveness of exports, reducing the international purchasing capacity of goods sold by the country. This context highlights the economic challenges faced by the national export sector in the face of fuel price volatility in the market.
