The XIV edition of the solidarity initiative "Um Golo pela Vida" takes place on September 12th at Pavilhão Bartolomeu Perestrelo, in Funchal, with the motto "Handball for a Cause". The event runs between 09:30 and 21:00 and aims to unite the Madeiran community in the fight against cancer.

The initiative is promoted by the Regional Nucleus of Madeira of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, in partnership with the Madeira Handball Association and volunteer Ivelice Gonçalves. The event combines the practice of handball with solidarity actions aimed at raising awareness and supporting the oncological cause.

The initiative "Um Golo pela Vida" thus returns for another edition, continuing its journey of raising awareness among the Madeiran population for the prevention and fight against cancer, through sports activities open to the community.
