The president of the Parish Council of Almoster, Pedro Costa, announced on Thursday, September 10, that he decided to disassociate from the lists of the Socialist Party (PS). This decision means he will now exercise his mandate as an independent.

Pedro Costa described his decision as personal and thoughtful. The local official stated that he made it with the awareness of someone who has always placed love for his land and service to the population above any interest.

Pedro Costa's disassociation from the PS lists represents a change in his political position, no longer being formally associated with the party for which he had been a candidate in the local elections.
