Livre met in Porto with the objective of once again placing the media spotlight on concrete proposals and presenting solutions to build an alternative majority to that of the current PSD/CDS-PP Government. The party intends to establish itself as a political force with the capacity to propose viable alternatives.
The meeting takes place after a week marked by the debate and rejection of the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government. This political context contributed to placing other parties in media prominence, which Livre now intends to counter.
The party led by Rui Tavares wants to demonstrate that it is possible to present serious and substantive proposals, differentiating itself from other political forces which, from Livre's perspective, have limited themselves to interventions of a more confrontational nature.
This meeting in Porto also serves as a moment of preparation and internal organization, aiming to strengthen the party's position ahead of future political and electoral challenges.
