VILA REAL MUNICIPAL INDOOR POOL REOPENS TO THE PUBLIC ON SEPTEMBER 14TH

The Vila Real Municipal Indoor Pool reopens to the public on September 14th, resuming free swimming and use by clubs and other entities. During the month of August, the pool remained in operation to ensure continuity of aquatic activities while construction of the new Codessais Pool Complex is underway.

Registrations for Hydrogymnastics and Parent and Baby Classes begin on the same day, September 14th. The remaining modalities, including swimming for children, youth and adults and Aqua Mobility, will have registrations available from September 21st.

Starting September 21st, activities guided by instructors also begin, which include learning and improvement swimming lessons, hydrogymnastics, Aqua Mobility, baby and parent classes, and swimming for children aged 3 to 13.

The facility maintains its usual operating schedule: Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 22:00, and on Saturdays, from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00.

China and India closer in New Delhi

Beja: School of Theological Culture to be extended to "other geographical areas" of the diocese after "very positive" response in the first year

The bishop of Beja, D. Fernando Paiva, announced that the School of Theological Culture (ECT) of the diocese will be extended to other geographical areas, after the "very positive" first year, completed by more than 30 students between January and June 2026. The program, dedicated to Biblical Theology and aimed at laypeople, religious and pastoral collaborators, was born from attentive listening to the people of God and aims to form a laity more capable for the mission of the Church. The bishop thanked the teachers and encouraged current and future students to continue deepening their faith.
