Several fires destroyed 42 tents used by migrants and eight vehicles in Ceuta. The incident occurred during the night, when the flames spread through the improvised camp.
No injuries were recorded as a result of the fire. The families sleeping at the site were removed by the authorities and there were no fatalities.
The causes of the fire have not yet been identified. Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in Moroccan territory, is frequently used as a crossing point for migrants trying to reach Europe.
