Russia now imports fuel from South Korea and Turkey due to Ukraine attacks

Russia has started importing fuel from countries such as South Korea and Türkiye (Turkey) due to Ukraine's attacks. This change in the import pattern comes as a response to the consequences of the attacks on Russian territory.

The data was revealed by the latest report from the think tank Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA). This research organization has been closely monitoring energy dynamics in the context of the conflict.

Before this change, Russia predominantly depended on other import sources or domestic production to meet its fuel needs. The change in the countries of origin of imports reflects the direct impact of Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.
