The Republican National Guard (GNR) has launched the Safe School Campaign for the 2026/2027 academic year, which aims to reinforce safety and awareness in the Portuguese school environment.
The campaign covers approximately 670,000 students, representing a significant number of students who will be the target of prevention and awareness actions carried out by the GNR.
The program includes a diverse set of awareness actions, aimed at promoting a safer and more conscious school environment for the entire educational community.
According to the data mentioned in the news, in the previous academic year, 2,631 crimes were recorded in school settings, a number that highlights the relevance and need for this prevention initiative.
