RARE debuts in Madeira with motorcycle ride to fight breast cancer

The Gentleman's Wheels Club promotes, on October 4th, the first edition in Madeira of "RARE – Ride & Roses Madeira", an international leisure and solidarity event that brings together the motorcycling community in an initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer. The funds raised through registrations fully revert to the Regional Nucleus of Madeira of the Portuguese League Against Cancer.

Paulo correspondent in New York, published on September 12, 2001, describing the horrors experienced during the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Marking 25 years since the attack, the death toll in New York was 2,606.

China and India closer in New Delhi

The BRICS summit in New Delhi, on September 12 and 13, marks the 20th anniversary of the bloc under Indian presidency, bringing together leaders such as Xi Jinping (after a seven-year absence, signaling a rapprochement with India), Putin (also after seven years without participating in person, with bilateral meetings planned with Modi) and representatives from Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Beja: School of Theological Culture to be extended to "other geographical areas" of the diocese after "very positive" response in the first year

The bishop of Beja, D. Fernando Paiva, announced that the School of Theological Culture (ECT) of the diocese will be extended to other geographical areas, after the "very positive" first year, completed by more than 30 students between January and June 2026. The program, dedicated to Biblical Theology and aimed at laypeople, religious and pastoral collaborators, was born from attentive listening to the people of God and aims to form a laity more capable for the mission of the Church. The bishop thanked the teachers and encouraged current and future students to continue deepening their faith.
