The Lisbon Stock Exchange followed the gains recorded in the major European stock exchanges during this Friday's session. The Portuguese index PSI managed to stay in positive territory, contrary to what would be expected given the negative scenario that was observed among the majority of listed companies.
The company Ibersol was the protagonist of the day, leading the gains with a jump of more than 3%. This outstanding performance allowed the company to stand out in the Portuguese market.
Although the majority of listed companies had started the session in negative territory, the positive behavior of Ibersol, together with the favorable performance of BCP and NOS, managed to sustain the PSI in positive territory.
The Portuguese index thus benefited from the upward trend observed in European markets, achieving favorable results despite the difficulties felt by most of the companies listed in the session.
