TAP celebrates this year 60 years of air link between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro, on a route that has become one of the main bridges between Portugal and Brazil. The Portuguese airline has completed six decades of uninterrupted flights on this transatlantic route.

The Lisbon-Rio de Janeiro route has contributed significantly to bringing together people, businesses and cultures of the two countries. This connection represents one of the most important links in the history of aviation between Portugal and Brazil.

The celebration of these 60 years reinforces the strategic importance of this route for TAP and for Portuguese-Brazilian relations, highlighting the airline's role as a bridge between the two countries over the decades.

SMAS de Sintra invest one million euros to reduce water losses

The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Sintra (SMAS) are investing approximately one million euros to improve the efficiency of the water supply network, through the installation and renovation of Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV) and the creation of Measurement and Control Zones (MCZ). A 720 thousand euro contract will allow the installation of seven new PRVs and the renovation of eight others, while another 300 thousand euro intervention has already created eight new MCZ. These measures are part of the strategy to reduce non-revenue water, which represented approximately 18% at the end of 2025, in a municipality with almost 1,900 kilometres of pipelines. The interventions also include the rehabilitation of pipelines at various points in the municipality and the rehabilitation of reservoirs.
