iPhone Duo: we tested Apple's new foldable iPhone; see screen, camera, price and how it works

oglobo11 September 2026 at 08:00

GLOBO tested the iPhone Duo for the first time, Apple's first foldable phone, at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California. After months of rumors, the device finally hits the market combining the traditional iPhone experience with elements that resemble an iPad.

The result is a different way of using the smartphone, especially when open, offering more space for apps, videos, games and multitasking, without losing the familiarity of the iOS system.

The iPhone Duo is described as thin and lightweight, with very smooth opening and closing, different from the more abrupt movement of some foldable phones when the two halves meet. Apple claims the hinge was developed with over 100 components that work together to control the movement of the screens.
