First operators not linked to MOBI.E join the electric mobility data platform

SAPO Notícias11 September 2026 at 08:01

MOBI.E now integrates operators not originally linked to the platform in its role as Data Aggregation Entity for Electric Mobility. This change allows independent electric vehicle charging operators to start sharing information through MOBI.E's existing infrastructure.

The Data Aggregation Entity is responsible for ensuring the collection and transmission of information from all electric mobility operators. This function ensures that data is subsequently transmitted to the National Access Point, creating a centralized information system on electric mobility in Portugal.

With this integration, MOBI.E consolidates its central role in managing data for the electric mobility sector, enabling greater transparency and access to information for competent entities and the general public.

Microsoft wants to triple data center capacity by 2032

Microsoft plans to triple its data center capacity, going from the current 12 gigawatts to 38 gigawatts by 2032, according to Bloomberg. Currently, about two gigawatts are dedicated to artificial intelligence, but this area is expected to represent about one third of the projected total capacity. The plan includes owned and leased data centers, excluding capacity from cloud providers. The company had temporarily paused the development of some data centers in 2025 due to concerns about oversizing, which led clients such as Temu to opt for alternatives such as Oracle.
