There was no eviction. In recent days, rumors circulated that the Valencia city council intended to evict the mega-settlement at the Formula 1 circuit on Thursday, September 10. However, the municipality had already clarified, as it had been doing since August, that the rumor was unfounded and there is no order to dismantle the camp, at least for now.
The Solidarity Platform did not trust these guarantees and held a gathering this morning at the circuit. The demonstration aimed to demand formal guarantees for the approximately 800 people living at the Valencia F1 circuit.
Several politicians joined the gathering, including representatives from Compromís, PSPV and Podem València. The opposition parties took the opportunity to criticize the city council's management and demand a definitive solution for the situation of the residents at the circuit.
The context is one of prolonged uncertainty, as eviction rumors have been circulating since August, without the authorities presenting a concrete plan to relocate or regularize the situation of the hundreds of people living in the space.
