Israel declared a state of war after a strong multi-front attack from Gaza. The conflict represents a significant escalation in the Middle East region.

According to the Palestinian Authority, Israeli airstrikes have already killed 508 people, including around a hundred children, and injured 2,800 people.

On the Israeli side, more than 700 people have died and 2,300 have been injured due to the unprecedented Hamas attack. This is one of the worst waves of violence between both sides.

At least 130 people have been taken hostage by Palestinian groups, according to Israeli authorities.
