Festive solidarity after the fire: A peña and a neighborhood in Vilavella come together for their town's victims

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General11 September 2026 at 05:47

A wildfire on July 25 devastated both the municipal area and the spirit of Vilavella. The population had to be completely evacuated and the neighbors spent several days away from home. Upon returning, they discovered they had not only lost the landscape. The most significant and visible damage affected forest land and agricultural farms.

Among those affected are the two nurseries in the town, Esvi and Vicente, which saw their facilities consumed by the flames in a few hours. The festive solidarity of a peña and a neighborhood in Vilavella came together to help the victims of their land.
