Nexz is a k-pop and j-pop band with just over two years of existence, formed by the South Korean company JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Japan. The group opened the programming at the Mundo Stage on Friday of the k-pop day at Rock in Rio 2026, marking their main international commitment of their career so far. The band is considered one of the promises of South Korean and Japanese pop music on the global scene.

The name Nexz means "Next Z(G)eneration", or "Next Generation Z". The group was formed from the survival reality show Nizi Project Season 2, broadcast on YouTube and Japan's Hulu platform in 2023.

The program selected seven members: Yu, Tomoya, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui and Yuki. Among them, So Geon was born in South Korea, despite growing up in Japan. JYP Entertainment, responsible for the formation of the group, is also the same company behind bands such as Stray Kids, who was headliner of the k-pop day at Rock in Rio.
